Alpine Angling Tours was created in October 2004 by Stephan Hanff, a french professional fishing guide who also qualified for the Ceritificate in Coaching angling Level 2 at Peshore University, UK, and is a member of the PROFESSIONAL ANGLERS ASSOCIATION.
Stéphane, aged thirty four, has been fishing since his early childhood, and went through the tough apprenticeship of canal leagues of north eastern France.
His family background enabled him to fish the rivers of the Turinge region of Germany, where he discovered carp fishing, still his favored disciplin to date.
His passion for carp was enhanced by five years spent in England, where he became familiar with advanced techniques of modern carp fishing.

Sharing a passion for mountains with his partner Amanda, Stefan is now based in the Hautes-Alpes, from where he can deliver guided trips throughout the whole south-east of France, from the Gresivaudan region near Grenoble to the Provence lakes and the Rhône river in the region of Arles.

Stephan is able to offer today a wide panel of guiding services with a constant focus on fish care, environmental issues and a great attention to detail.
His current partnerships with Fox International and Mainline enable Alpine Angling Tours to equip their customers with the best in fishing tackle and baits. Beside his guiding and coaching activities (notably in several local angling schools), Stephan is currently working on a video and a series of articles for the specialised press.
